Thank you for your registration to the West District Science Day on March 23, 2019.
If you have not done so already, be sure to add your teacher and her email to your application. Volunteers from the West District Science Day Office will review your forms. Once all your milestones turn from orange to green, you have been cleared. You may be contacted through the STEMWizard Website by email if there are any questions or concerns. - On the other side of Smith Hall, building 20, just past the football stadium.
- For easy leaving, park in the parking lot opposite building 1, Newsom Administration Building on Brush Row Road.
The Science Fair will be in the Beacom/Lewis Gymnasium, building 12. You need to be in place no later that 9:00 AM for judging. Set-up begins at 8:00 AM. Remember that you are allowed your board, notebook and pictures. Laptops /tablets are allowed to show pictures, but there is no electricity available. No models or other materials are allowed. Remember, you are the star today - do not rely on electronics. You should get your space on the floor through the STEMWizard website. Volunteers will be available to help you find your space on the floor. DO NOT CHANGE YOUR SPACE - the judges will not find you. Be sure your name is on the space card. Please understand that mistakes do happen, but the volunteers will help you sort out any problems.
Lunch is available for purchase in the University Student Center - it is all you can eat. You also may bring your own lunch and eat outside (weather permitting) or on the bleachers in the Walker Gymnasium. Please no lunch in the Beacom/Lewis Gym.
The award ceremony will begin around 1:30 PM, or as soon as the judging has been tallied.
